Governors

Linda Hughes (Vine Schools Trust Appointed )

Linda spent 36 years teaching in a range of primary schools in Essex. My career as a headteacher began in 1997 in a primary school in North East Essex and I subsequently moved to become headteacher of a primary school in Chelmsford.  I spent the final 7 years of my teaching career as headteacher of a very large junior school in Chelmsford in which Ofsted judged leadership and management to be outstanding.  I was also seconded to the Essex Advisory Service as a School Improvement Adviser specialising in mathematics and later trained as a Primary Strategy Consultant Leader and Professional Partner. In these roles I supported several schools’ leadership teams and newly appointed Headteachers. I have recently served on the IEB of a school in NE Essex and have enjoyed seeing the progress and accelerated improvements to the education of children in the school.

The Chair of the Governing Body can be contacted via the school office admin@st-cedds-pri.essex.sch.uk

I am an Associate of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, and I co-run a Local Business Clinic once a month in Burnham which gives free business advice to anyone who needs it. I am also the treasurer for the Burnham Chamber of Commerce. When I have a minute I like baking and knitting.

Rev. Steven Poss (Vine Schools Trust Appointed)

After working for 20 years in London developing Apprenticeship programmes across the UK in different areas of finance such as Banking, Insurance, Accountancy and Investments, I received a call to ministry. I studied a degree in Theology with St. Mellitus College and then served a four year Curacy in Leigh on Sea. During my time in Leigh on Sea, I also studied an MA in Theology, Ministry & Mission. Education is close to my heart and I believe is transformational, so I am keen to work in this role within school and communities.
